Tallest man in the U.S.

Tallest ManDeputy George Bell isn't just the long arm of the law — he's the long legs, too. He's being recognized today by Guinness World Records as the Tallest Man in the U.S.

The Norfolk, Virginia, sheriff's deputy is 7-foot-8. That makes him 2 inches taller than the NBA's current tallest player, Yao Ming. Bell wears size-19 shoes, pants with a 43-inch inseam and shirts with 45-inch sleeves.
So, how's the weather up there? Bell says he has no choice but to like being tall. He adds that his height has some perks, like free upgrades to first class on flights because needs a lot of leg room.
